Hi, I’m Megan Shull. Since 2007, I’ve dedicated my career to helping children, teens, and adults build confidence and independence through the power of communication. As a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in complex areas like Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and feeding disorders, my goal is to ensure every individual has a voice.
My work and clinical insights have been featured in DFW Child Magazine, Shoutout DFW, and the KidsCare on Air podcast, where I advocate for excellence in care for special populations. I also share my expertise as an AAC course instructor for CIAO Seminars, Summit Education and SpeechPathology.com, and have been a guest on Practice Care with Carl White.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and my Master’s from the University of Texas at Dallas with a specialized focus on AAC, I began my journey in outpatient pediatric settings. My experience eventually spanned inpatient, home health, school-based, and intensive programs. These diverse clinical environments inspired me to launch Building Bridges through Communication in 2014, a venture recently recognized as a “Frisco Highlight” by VoyageDallas for its “inspired” approach to community-based therapy.
Today, my team and I serve Dallas, Denton, and Collin Counties, offering in-home, community-based, and virtual services tailored to the unique rhythms of each family. We are especially passionate about supporting clients through major life transitions. From a child’s very first words to the transition from school to community-based care, everything we do is rooted in compassion, evidence-based science, and real-world results.
Beyond the clinic, I am committed to mentoring the next generation of therapists and pushing the field forward. I’ve taught at the university level, spoken at state and national conferences, and even expanded my reach internationally to treat clients in Costa Rica.
If you’re looking for a therapy partner who combines deep clinical expertise with a genuine heart for the community, you’re in the right place. My BBTC Team and I would love to help your loved one connect, grow, and thrive.
